UPRM-INVCOL is the second largest and most rapidly expanding invertebrate collection in Puerto Rico and the primary repository for invertebrates in western Puerto Rico. Therefore the collection has a unique mission in terms of documenting the past, present, and future of Puerto Rican invertebrates and sharing this invaluable information with the larger scientific community and the public.
Since 2008 we have created opportunities to support the collection's growing infrastructure and specifically to support the curatorial and scholarly activities related to the collection. The accounts are managed by the Office for Special Projects of the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, and are analogous to those of a not-for-profit organization. Monetary donations are therefore fully tax-deductible.
